A long-term preservation plan must be outlined and followed to achieve sustainable management, in order to ensure that valuable digital assets are protected and preserved permanently.

The digital archives remote backup storage network project aims to establish a stable, safe, and persistent repository system, providing distributed storage, fast access to files, and automated backups. Equally emphasizing logical preservation and physical preservation, the system will eventually acquire the ability to perform automatic transformation and migration, establishing a framework for a persistent repository system.
